MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD AT THE BEONNA ON MONDAY 16th FEBRUARY 2026 at 7.00 pm.

1 APOLOGIES were received from Parish Councillor R Bell, Boston Borough Councillors P Bedford and D Broughton (including his Boston Borough Council report)
 
2 MINUTES
The minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on the 19th January 2026 having been previously circulated were approved and signed by the Chairman.

6 PARISH MATTERS
6.1 Highways  -  It was noted that with the work on West End Road, traffic had been diverted and the condition of Lowfield Road, Benington Ings, leading to the Hobhole was now in a dangerous state.  Councillor Grant stated he would report several of the potholes and Councillor Arundell reported he would also bring it to the attention of Highways.
 
Notification had been received that a temporary traffic restriction would be held between the 16th February 2026 and the 25th February 2026 on Ings Bank, Middle Mere Bank and Lowfields Road for the installing of duct for telecoms.
 
Notification had been received that a temporary traffic restriction would be held between the 23rd February 2026 and the 8th March 2026 on Lambs Lane, Sea End Road, Churchway, Crowhall and Spicers Lane for the installing of duct for telecoms.
 
Notification had been received that a temporary traffic restriction would be held between the 9th March 2026 and the 11th March 2026 on Sea Lane for the installing of duct for telecoms.
 
6.21 Play Equipment Fencing  - Councillor Arundell stated he would make enquiries regarding funding.  The quotation from Mark Skipworth had been received and was now on file.
 
6.22 Playing Field Usage  -  No further information had been received.
 
6.3 Annual Playground Inspection  -  This had taken place, and a full report received, which had been forwarded to all councillors.  Councillor Pinner stated he would contact Komplan, the original installers for quotes as required.
 
6.4 Solar Powered Speed Signs  -  Following information received from other parish councils in the area, Councillor Grant had made enquiries regarding siting, and the price.  A meeting had been arranged for agreement on the locations (each end of the village on the A52), and this would be discussed further at the next meeting.  The quotation from Elan City was now on file.
 
6.5 Leverton Fire Station  -  Councillor Arundell updated the council, stating at present that whilst planning permission was granted for a new building, no final decision has yet been made as the Lincs Fire and Rescue are still comprising data.  Several emails regarding this have been received from other Parish Councils in the area and have been forwarded to the councillors.
 
7 CORRESPONDENCE
7.1 Several emails including those from Boston Borough Council and Lincolnshire County Council, had been forwarded to all councillors. 
 
7.2 Correspondence had been received on behalf of Lincolnshire Local Resilience Forum, regarding using The Beonna as an emergency rest centre.  It was noted that this was already stated as the centre in our Emergency Plan.
 
8 FINANCE
8.1 The clerk presented the up-to-date accounts, including the precept update for the current financial year.  It was noted that VAT had been claimed and received, also payment for the Brown Garden Waste Bin for the Beonna had been made.

9.1 The next meeting was arranged for 16th March 2026, at The Beonna, commencing at 7.00 pm.
